Description
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate powder coating equipment, spray guns, and curing ovens safely and efficiently.
- Apply powder coatings to meet required specifications, quality standards, and production schedules.
- Monitor coating thickness, coverage, and finish quality to ensure a consistent, high-quality product.
- Inspect completed parts for defects and perform touch-ups or rework as required.
- Load, unload, and move materials throughout the coating and curing process.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with safety and housekeeping standards.
- Follow all workplace health and safety procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of powder coating equipment and tools.
- Read and interpret work orders, production schedules, and coating specifications.
- Track material usage and report equipment issues, shortages, or quality concerns to supervisors.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and continuous improvement objectives.
- Previous experience in powder coating, industrial painting, manufacturing, or a related production environment is considered an asset.
- Knowledge of powder coating processes, equipment, and application techniques.
- Ability to read and follow work orders, specifications, and production schedules.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to identify coating defects and perform corrective actions when required.
- Comfortable working with hand tools, spray equipment, and production machinery.
- Physically capable of standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 lbs (23 kg).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while meeting production deadlines.
- Strong understanding of workplace safety practices and the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Starting Wage: Dependent on skills and experience.
- Day Shift: Monday to Friday, 6am to 2:30pm.
