JOB DETAILS
The Head of IT Infrastructure and Information Security will lead the strategic direction and governance of the organisation’s infrastructure and security landscape. The primary focus will be on designing, implementing and maintaining a resilient, secure, scalable, and cost-effective technology estate that supports the organisation's business goals and operational requirements. This senior technical ‘hands-on’ role will ensure seamless operation of the IT estate through implementation and maintenance of common processes and architectural standards.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Infrastructure Management and Governance: responsible for all aspects of the organisation's IT infrastructure. This includes Azure and on-premise server environment, network (WAN/LAN/WLAN) and firewalls. Operate enterprise governance and manage relevant providers ensuring adherence to SLAs, continuous improvement, and cost control.
Information Security and Risk: In partnership with the organisation's CISO, and SIEM/SOC provider, act as the technical authority managing the following: SOC and firewall reviews, incident response, penetration tests, securing applications, patch management, and external certifications. Lead the continued implementation of ISO27001 for IT.
Access Management and Application Security: Manage and secure a comprehensive hybrid Microsoft environment, including on-premises AD, Entra ID, SSO implementations, application registrations, and device management.
Enterprise Security: Oversee and manage existing tooling, identify future requirements and implement solutions.
IT Disaster Recovery: Partner with the Head of Applications to define and execute the IT Disaster Recovery strategy. Maintain infrastructure resilience through robust data backup policies, system redundancy, and high-availability configurations. Treat IT disaster recovery as a continuous exercise by regularly testing failover mechanisms, validating recovery objectives, and refining response plans.
Budget Ownership and Project Execution: Manage the IT Operational Expenditure budget and deliver strategic IT initiatives.

ABOUT YOU
Previous Experience:
- Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in IT, witha significant portionof that time spent in a technical capacity focused on the design, operation, issueresolutionand management of complex cloud environments.
- Minimum 5 years of proven experience in a senior IT Infrastructure and Information Security role.
- Microsoft: Deep understanding of Microsoft’s Azure, Intune, Entra and 365 and the principles and policiesrequiredto successfully implement them in a multi-vendor application environment.
- Infrastructure: Proven experience managing hybrid and multi-cloud environments. Demonstrated understanding of enterprise networking.
- Information Security: Comprehensive knowledge of incident and vulnerability management and working with SIEM / SOC providers. Proven experience deploying and managing a comprehensive enterprise security stack, including endpoint detection and response. Demonstratedexpertiseoperatingto standards (ISO 27001 or similar) and data protection regulations.
- Vendor Management: Experience scoping project deliverables,establishingrequirements, and regularly evaluating third-party vendor performance against established SLAs.
- Problem Solving: Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a focus on resolving technical challenges related to infrastructure and applications interoperability.
- Technical Acumen: A solid understanding of the principles of modern cloud-native architectures (SaaS, Cloud, Microsoft) and emerging technologies like AI.
- Continuous Tech Adoption: A proactive, self-motivated approach to staying current withemergingtechnologies and assessing their application to business needs.
- Business Acumen: Strong collaboration skills with the ability to provide pragmatic solutions aligned to standards.
