Job Overview

L&H Companies is experiencing growth and is seeking to add a highly motivated, self-starter to our accounting team as a Staff Accountant. As the Staff Accountant, you will assist with cost accounting, aid in the month end close process, perform account reconciliations, process accounts receivable/payable transactions, assist with inventory maintenance, analyze general ledger activity, and create financial schedules. The ideal candidate for this role should have great problem-solving skills, excellent time management and a strong attention to detail.

Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Supporting the daily accounting department functions
• Support Month end/Year end Close
• Journal Entries
• Invoicing
• Payroll processing
• Labor reconciliation
• Balance sheet account reconciliations
• Monthly/Quarterly/Annual state sales tax filings
• A/R Collections
• New customer setup
• Assisting with state compliance reporting
• Support the annual CPA review

Requirements

Requirements

• On-site, full-time role in Reading, PA.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred, or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent time management
• Strong analytical skills
• Work both independently and in collaboration with others
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
