What should the Legal Secretary expect?
As a Legal Secretary, you will provide comprehensive administrative and operational support to the Legal team, helping to ensure the efficient management of legal matters, client engagements, and internal processes.
This role goes beyond traditional secretarial duties and requires a proactive individual who can support legal professionals with client onboarding, risk management processes, billing activities, document preparation, stakeholder coordination, and general office administration. You will work closely with Partners, Directors, Managers, and various internal support teams while maintaining high standards of professionalism and confidentiality.
Responsibilities
If you are successful, you will undertake responsibilities which could include a combination of but are not limited to:
Providing comprehensive administrative and secretarial support to the Legal team and leadership.
Coordinating meetings, appointments, client interactions, travel arrangements, and other day-to-day administrative activities.
Preparing, formatting, printing, binding, photocopying, and organizing legal and client documentation, including support for case preparation.
Supporting client onboarding, risk management, compliance processes, and maintaining accurate records within PwC's internal systems.
Assisting with billing and financial administration activities, including raising invoices, purchase orders, tracking payments, and following up on outstanding balances where required.
Acting as a liaison with internal teams, clients, suppliers, and external authorities to facilitate the smooth progression of matters.
Managing confidential information and maintaining accurate files, records, and documentation in accordance with firm policies.
Taking ownership of assigned tasks, adapting to changing priorities, and proactively identifying solutions to support the team.
Collaborating effectively with stakeholders across the organization while delivering a high standard of client service.
Upholding the firm's professional standards, including confidentiality, ethics, and business conduct.
Experience and Qualifications
A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar secretarial, administrative, or legal support role.
Candidates who have completed a secretarial, administrative, or related qualification will be preferred.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.
Experience working with billing, invoicing, and administrative processes will be advantageous.
Familiarity with client onboarding, compliance, or risk management processes will be beneficial.
Willingness to learn and work with PwC's internal systems and processes.
