Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The intent of this job description is to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities performed by employees in this job. Employees may be requested to perform job-related tasks other than those specifically presented in this description.- Administers and coordinates information systems used by ESD and other departments.
- Facilitates production of data to achieve department objectives to ensure compliance of Department Rules/Regulations, State Permits, and Federal requirements.
- Works with other City Departments, IT Staff, and vendors to develop and configure new and existing systems, resolves system problems, plan and schedule technology installations and upgrades.
- Conducts administrative research of departmental operations and systems for planning, budgeting, and evaluation purposes. Serves as a liaison between the Water Department and other City operations.
- Participates with various teams as it relates to the operation of the department information systems.
- Analyzes administrative plans and current practices for simplification through information systems.
- Performs related work as required.
- Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Business Information Systems, or a related field
- Three (3) years of related work experience
- Any equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilities
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
- Project Management Profressional (PMP) certification
