About the Role
You’ll be joining the growing Private Dining Team in Australia and help elevate OpenTable’s newest line of business. The team is building the next generation event management for our top restaurant groups. We're deeply involved from concept, prototyping, implementation, delivery, to customer validation. We believe in empowering individuals to do phenomenal work.
Responsibilities

Architect, build, and maintain scalable C# .NET backend services and RESTful APIs for OpenTable’s global Private Dining platform.

Drive end-to-end project execution from initial technical planning and architectural design through to production deployment.

Collaborate with cross-functional software engineers, product managers, and designers across international offices to deliver impactful enterprise features.

Champion engineering excellence and continuous integration by applying Test-Driven Development (TDD), SOLID principles, and clean code practices.

Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize distributed microservices to ensure system reliability, performance, and rapid incident response.

Mentor team members, share technical knowledge, and foster an inclusive, highly collaborative learning environment.
Minimum Qualifications
-
5+ years of software engineering experience with C# and .NET Core.
-
Proven experience building and scaling high-volume RESTful APIs and distributed, event-driven microservices.
-
Demonstrated proficiency in object-oriented design, design patterns, data structures, and core software design principles (e.g., SOLID, TDD, Dependency Injection).

Hands-on experience with relational or NoSQL database technologies (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Cassandra) and containerization tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

Experience leading technical planning and driving features through full-lifecycle CI/CD pipelines into production.
Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with Java backend technologies or full-stack software development.

Experience with AI Spec-Driven Development

Experience with Python, or big data processing frameworks (e.g., Databricks, Apache Spark, Apache Airflow).

Experience monitoring system performance, triaging operational incidents, and utilizing telemetry or log management tools.

Background collaborating across international time zones with distributed engineering and product teams.

Experience with continuous integration tools such as TeamCity or modern cloud delivery pipelines.
