WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:
- Apply Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and DMAIC methodologies to improve quality, productivity, cost, and safety performance.
- Provide technical expertise and leadership for Root Cause Analysis and corrective action activities.
- Lead cross-functional teams to solve problems, eliminate waste, and reduce process variation.
- Assist in the development and implementation of the plant capital project roadmap.
- Develop, design, procure, validate, and implement tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing equipment.
- Create tooling methodologies, specifications, standards, and documentation for new tooling projects.
- Evaluate existing tooling and manufacturing processes and recommend improvements.
- Collaborate with suppliers to source, develop, and optimize tooling solutions.
- Identify and qualify new suppliers to support business growth and technology advancements.
- Support new product introduction activities through process and tooling development.
- Maintain effectiveness and adaptability during changing priorities and work environments.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

YOU HAVE:
- Minimum 3+ years of manufacturing/industrial engineering experience required.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related engineering discipline from an accredited institution required.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred.
- Prior project leadership experience preferred.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma implementation.
- Experience leading engineering and capital projects.
- Experience maintaining safety and regulatory compliance.
- Experience with tooling design, development, and implementation.
- Experience in machining and welding processes, preferably involving aluminum products.
- Experience working in custom engineer-to-order manufacturing environments preferred.
- Strong leadership skills demonstrated through successful cross-functional project execution.
- Experience working with suppliers, tooling vendors, and external manufacturing partners.
Specialized knowledge and skills:
- Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety requirements.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Inventor, SolidWorks, or similar CAD software.
- Ability to design and develop tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing aids.
- Ability to facilitate team-based problem solving and implement corrective actions.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills across all organizational levels.
- Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies, root cause analysis, and process optimization techniques.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
Physical demands/work environment:
- Time is generally divided between sitting, standing, and walking.
- Work is performed in both office and manufacturing environments.
- Ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull materials and equipment as required.
- Ability to move throughout the manufacturing facility and access production areas.
- Approximately 50% of time is spent in a temperature-controlled office environment with moderate noise levels.
- Approximately 50% of time is spent in a manufacturing environment with varying noise levels.
- The manufacturing facility is enclosed and appropriately ventilated, heated, and air-conditioned.
- Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated production areas.
- Ability to work 5 days a week in our Medway MA location, and travel up to 10% if needed.

Pay Transparency
nVent’s pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee’s work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.
Compensation Range:
Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives.
