Compensation Analyst (US & Canada)

We are seeking an experienced and analytical Compensation Analyst to play a critical role in the governance and execution of compensation programs across the United States and Canada. Based out of our Oakville, ON office this role serves as a subject‑matter expert and trusted advisor, partnering closely with HR Business Partners, Total Rewards, and business leaders to ensure programs are competitive, compliant, and aligned with organizational strategy. This is a hybrid role 3 days/week on-site in Oakville.
The compensation for this position is between $70,800 and $88,500 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
Key Responsibilities
Participate in administering and executing compensation programs, including base pay, variable pay, and equity programs across the US and Canada under direct supervision.
Support pay equity across salaried and hourly employees in the US and Canadian markets by assisting in regular pay equity audits.
Assist in benchmarking studies and collecting and analyzing market data to maintain the organization's competitive compensation offerings.
Aid in the company's job evaluation process and in the development and maintenance of competitive salary ranges for various job families, levels, and functions.
Help in preparing compensation reports and analyzing compensation data to identify potential improvements in compensation programs.
Contribute to wage analysis for Collective Bargaining negotiations in collaboration with the compensation team.
Work with HR Business Partners and business leaders to assist in the development of compensation solutions that align with business needs.
Assist in developing communication materials to educate employees on compensation programs and policies, ensuring transparency and understanding.
Maintain awareness of compensation best practices, trends, and regulatory changes in both Canada and the US, and assist in identifying opportunities to improve compensation processes.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
CCP designation completed or in progress preferred.
3+ years of progressive compensation experience, including exposure to US and Canadian markets.Some exposure to the coordination base pay, incentive programs, and equity compensation is beneficial.
Knowledge of compensation regulations in both Canada and the US is beneficial.
Experience in job evaluation, salary structure development, and market benchmarking is advantageous.
Attention to detail with proven analytical, mathematical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Strong planning and organizational skills with proven ability to manage competing priorities.
Strong Excel skills for reporting, metrics and data validation (vlookups, pivot tables) and proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Experience using HRIS systems.
Good communication skills - both written and verbal.
Proven ability to maintain sensitive and highly confidential information.
