WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR:
Nike's Global Technology team is looking for a Change and Release Manager to join the FAST TPM Change & Release team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing end-to-end change and release management processes that ensure the safe, reliable delivery of technology changes into Nike's production environments.
You are a detail-oriented, process-driven professional who thrives in a complex, cross-functional environment. You bring a solid understanding of change and release management fundamentals and are ready to put that knowledge to work across enterprise-scale technology programs. You are collaborative by nature — comfortable coordinating across development, operations, testing, and business teams to deliver successful outcomes.
WHO WILL YOU WORK WITH:
You will work closely with development, operations, testing, and business teams across Nike's Global Technology organization. You will coordinate with cross-functional technology stakeholders and partner with senior members of the Change & Release team to grow your expertise. You will report to a Lead or Manager within the FAST TPM Change & Release team.
WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON:
- Execute the change management lifecycle for assigned engagements, coordinating across development, operations, and other cross-functional teams to ensure changes are built, tested, and implemented according to plan.
- Review changes for risk, production system impacts, and air traffic control.
- Set up and maintain change templates and services (CI/CD, Routine, Models) with senior peer review.
- Conduct retrospectives and drive continuous improvement within the engagement area.
- Monitor KPIs for assigned engagements to drive change rigor and standards.
- Communicate change status and progress to stakeholders, with oversight from senior team members.
- Lead release planning for standard-complexity engagements — defining scope, schedule, and objectives with oversight from senior team members.
- Identify and manage release dependencies; proactively identify risks and develop mitigation strategies, including rollback plans.
- Validate that releases are thoroughly tested before deployment; define success criteria and ensure environments are properly configured.
- Develop detailed deployment plans including step-by-step instructions, rollback procedures, and Hypercare criteria.
- Oversee deployment execution and monitor post-release performance and stability against defined success criteria.
- Communicate release expectations, risk analysis, and air traffic control during PI Planning and across holiday periods.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Bachelor's degree required; 2–4 years of directly relevant work experience in change management, release management, technical program management, or a related field. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
- Demonstrated understanding of change and release management fundamentals, including the change lifecycle and risk management.
- Experience coordinating technology changes across multiple cross-functional teams.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams.
- Proactive risk identification skills — curious and thorough in understanding change scope, impacts, and dependencies.
- Clear, concise communication skills with the ability to effectively convey status and progress to diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently with limited support once established in an engagement.
- Agile mindset with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment.
- Ability to analyze and interpret program and team operational data to support decision-making.
- Experience with ITSM tooling (e.g., ServiceNow) and Agile project management tools (e.g., Jira) preferred.
- Comfortable facilitating and participating in technical discussions with development, operations, and stakeholder teams.
