Vishay Mexico is currently seeking candidates for the position of Chemical Technician. The successful candidate will support chemical processes related to electroplating operations, ensuring compliance with quality, environmental, safety, and productivity requirements while maintaining plating bath performance and process control.

Position Location
This position is an on-site role within Vishay Mexico manufacturing operations, supporting electroplating processes and working closely with Process Engineering and Production teams to ensure stable and efficient manufacturing performance. [Tecnico Quimico | Word]

What you will be doing

Support Process Engineering and Production teams in maintaining electroplating bath performance and chemical process stability.
Perform volumetric analysis to monitor and control chemical concentration levels according to process specifications.
Conduct Hull Cell testing and make chemical adjustments to maintain proper bath balance and performance.
Support preventive maintenance and upkeep of electroplating tanks and related equipment.
Assist with engineering sample evaluations for new materials and product development activities.
Support Production by monitoring Nickel, Tin, and Lead plating thickness through XRF analysis as required.
Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and quality procedures related to chemical handling and waste disposal.
Maintain laboratory equipment and testing instruments used in chemical analysis and process control.

What we are looking for

Technical degree in Chemistry, Chemical Technology, or a related technical field.
1 to 2 years of experience in a similar technical or chemical-processing role.
Knowledge of volumetric analysis techniques and laboratory testing practices.
Experience working with chemical solutions and chemical process control.
Basic knowledge of quality systems such as ISO 9001 and environmental management systems such as ISO 14001.
Ability to use laboratory instruments, measuring equipment, and testing devices.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, including Word and Excel.
Basic English skills, including the ability to read and interpret technical documentation.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
