If you are a product development / management professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Copeland has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our Suzhou location, you will be the key person leading program management and product platform management including new product development, NBO program, product improvement and cost reduction by collaborating with cross function teams including engineering, marketing, sourcing, SQE, AME, operation, sales and others. Your duties and responsibilities will be completed under the general guidance of the product planning director of Asia. You will exercise independent judgment and decision-making within the scope of this job.
AS A Senior Product Planner, YOU WILL:
• Run stage-gate governance for new product development programs.
• Work with product marketing and design engineering to freeze product scope. Own the scope baseline and chair change control at each gate.
• Build and manage the integrated master schedule; drive critical-path analysis, dependencies, and recovery plans.
• Drive risk / issue management; conduct project risk mitigation, escalate with decision options and impact analysis.
• Leads cross-functional program teams across regions; integrate vertical, regional and global perspectives to maintain strategic alignment.
• Align execution within multiple function teams and across the full lifecycle (Concept, Plan, Design, Validate, Launch).
• Manage program financials and business case realization.
• Manage regular program operations and execution reviews; provide executive-ready dashboards and decision memos.
• Facilitate cross function teams to support customer samples in new product development stage.
• Manage product hierarchy & nomenclature and integrate global and regional perspectives.
• Support Product Marketing/Technical sales/Engineering/Quality teams to implement product derivations and design improvement.
• Support product marketing/engineering for external marketing promotion, product profitability review and cost reduction plan.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:
• Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years working experience or Master with 5+ years working experience, majoring in engineering or related technical field.
• Strong cross functional project management capability and problem-solving skills in a global environment
• Fluency with MS Suite, PMO tools (e.g., Cora) & ERP (SAP) as a plus
• Good communication skills and influence with senior executives across geographies.
• Good oral and written English communication skills
PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:
• Experience leading cross functional, complex global NPD or engineering programs. including 2+ years’ experience with HVAC-R application.
• Certifications such as PMP
• Experience leveraging AI to drive effective problem solving & time savings.
