Cable’s Roofing is always interested in connecting with experienced professionals who may be a strong fit for our team. While we are not actively filling this position at this time, we are keeping our options open for an experienced Human Resources Supervisor for our Tyler, Texas office.

This role would support the day-to-day HR needs of a growing small business, including recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, benefits, training, compliance, and general HR administration.

The right person will be organized, approachable, professional, and comfortable working closely with both employees and leadership. We’re looking for someone who can handle sensitive situations with discretion, communicate clearly, and help keep our HR processes consistent and well documented.

Responsibilities

• Recruiting & Hiring – Recruit, interview, and assist with hiring for open positions throughout the company. Partner with department managers to understand staffing needs, coordinate interviews, and help identify strong candidates.

• Coordinate pre-employment requirements, including drug testing and background checks.

• Manage and continuously improve the new-hire onboarding process and orientation.

• Employee Records & Documentation – Maintain accurate employee records, personnel documentation, acknowledgements, and required HR records.

• Training & Development – Track and coordinate required employee training, including safety training, handbook and code-of-conduct acknowledgements, anti-harassment training, and position-specific certifications.

• Benefits & Leave Administration – Assist employees with benefit questions, enrollment, and leave requests. Support annual open enrollment and coordinate with our PEO and benefit providers as needed.

• Employee Relations – Assist leadership with employee concerns, performance issues, disciplinary documentation, investigations, and terminations.

• Provide guidance to managers on employee-related matters while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.

• Help ensure company policies and procedures are applied consistently.

• Stay informed on changes in employment law, HR best practices, and regulatory requirements.

• Assist with general office, administrative, legal, and compliance-related duties as needed.

What We’re Looking For

• Associate degree or higher in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will also be considered

• At least two years of hands-on Human Resources experience

• Experience with recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, benefits, and HR administration

• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities

• Excellent communication and conflict-resolution skills

• Ability to remain professional and composed during difficult employee situations

• Strong attention to detail and documentation

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion

• Working knowledge of federal and Texas employment laws and regulations

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HR-related software

• Experience working with a PEO, HRIS, or recruiting platform is a plus

• Legal, compliance, or construction-industry experience is a plus

Compensation

Compensation will be based on experience and qualifications.
