Business Controller

This Is What Your Role Looks Like 

As Business Controller, you are responsible for supporting the strategy of Basic-Fit. You'll provide valuable insights and function as a strong sparring partner to support business stakeholders in various projects. In this role, your main responsibility will be business partnership with our DACH operations, focused on further developing the Basic-Fit network in the region through both current operations and expansion via organic growth and acquisitions. 

Your Responsibilities 

• Prepare and attend Business Review Meetings between operational management and the Board (CEO, CFO, COO & CCO); 

• Ensure timely submission of deliverables, anticipating business issues and driving good decision-making through first-class financial and commercial analysis; 

• Improve the quality of management reports and business analysis; 

• Be a key player in the rolling forecast process; 

• Be a liaison between the Business and the Finance department; 

• Identify and address possible business process improvements; 

• Projects: contribute to various companywide projects and working groups. 

You will be working within the Business Control team – an international team of quick-thinking financial professionals who generate high-quality analyses and advice while working closely with the business.  

Who Are You? 

You have a curious mindset and a self-motivated, enthusiastic personality. You are able to maintain good business relations, and you're not afraid to share your opinion. 

Additionally, we're looking for someone with: 

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Economics (HBO/WO); 

• A minimum of 3 years' working experience, of which 5 years in Business Control; 

• Self-starter with strong team skills; 

• Proven problem-solving skills; 

• Good communication skills with strong influencing abilities; 

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; 

• Good communication skills in German or Dutch are a plus; 

• Experience in multi-site operations and selection (e.g. retail) is a big plus;

• Ability to understand and respond to business needs in a rapidly changing environment.

• Salary: A monthly gross salary between €4900 and €6596 based on 40 hours, depending on your experience and background.
