Finance Assistant

Finance Assistant | Nuneaton | Hybrid Working | Permanent | Salary up to £30,000 + Study Support | Immediate Start Available | Flexible Hours (Minimum 30hrs per week, up to 37.5 hrs)

Seymour John are currently recruiting for a Finance Assistant on behalf of a growing and well-established organisation in Nuneaton. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and detail-oriented finance professional with experience across transactional finance who is looking to develop their career within a supportive and collaborative finance team.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Finance Manager, your responsibilities will include:

• Taking ownership of the purchase ledger function across multiple sites, ensuring invoices are processed accurately and efficiently
• Preparing payments and managing supplier accounts, resolving any queries in a timely manner
• Completing bank reconciliations and supporting the Finance Manager with month-end activities
• Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring finance systems are kept up to date
• Assisting with employee expenses, basic reporting, and other day-to-day finance tasks
• Working closely with colleagues across other departments to support smooth business operations
• Supporting continuous improvements to financial processes and controls

We are looking for candidates to have:

• Previous experience in a similar Finance Assistant or Purchase Ledger role
• Strong purchase ledger experience, including invoice processing and supplier account management
• A proactive mindset with the confidence to take ownership of responsibilities
• Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
