What you'll do...
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will lead the delivery of scalable software solutions by collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain high-quality applications and services. Operating globally across markets, the team ensures clear ownership, defined SLAs, and outcome-based metrics aligned with Walmart’s operational standards. Responsibilities include reducing unplanned work for engineering, strengthening problem management, and enhancing operational readiness. The team drives efficiency and reliability by collaborating closely with cross-functional groups to deliver high-quality solutions that support Walmart’s commitment to operational excellence and continuous improvement.

What you'll do:
- Own scoped feature /model delivery through collaboration with engineering teams, managing implementation, iteration, testing, and support.
- Write clean, efficient, and reliable code using multiple programming languages and drive full software development lifecycle including CI/CD and automated testing.
- Integrate AI and ML components to enhance software intelligence and leverage generative AI tools to improve development velocity.
- Assist in solution design, participate in design reviews, and ensure scalable, secure, and maintainable systems.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical requirements and define success metrics.
- Monitor application performance, conduct maintenance, and ensure adherence to project timelines.
- Promote engineering excellence through knowledge sharing, mentorship, and continuous improvement initiatives
What you'll bring:
- Proven expertise in object-oriented programming and documentation-based coding practices.
- Strong technical acumen with experience in code review, debugging, and continuous development.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver scoped features or models through iterative and incremental development.
- Experience integrating AI/ML components and leveraging generative AI tools to enhance software solutions.
- Skilled in designing scalable, secure, and maintainable software aligned with platform and business objectives.
- Proficient in driving full software development lifecycle including CI/CD, automated testing, and monitoring.
- Effective collaborator with strong communication skills to engage cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Commitment to engineering excellence, continuous improvement, and technical ownership of deliverables.
- Essential: Expertise in Java, Big Data related technologies - spark, GCP / Azure working knowledge, Kafka, Good to have: Frontend skills - React.js and similar. Familiarity with Elastic / solr / Vector DB.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
