Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time New York Patrol Driver in Syracuse, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support patients, visitors, and staff with exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or contractors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies in a healthcare setting.
• Respond to incidents, medical-related emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established response protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, entrances, parking areas, and surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or potential hazards.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor direction, facility access procedures, and compliance with posted site requirements.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activity accurately, and communicate relevant information to appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• A New York State Security Guard License is required.
• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
