Senior Communications Officer

Senior Campaigns Officer | £546.05 per day (Umbrella) | 3 Months | London Borough of Haringey | Hybrid (Minimum 2 Days in Office) | Interviews Mid-October

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Senior Campaigns Officer to lead a high-profile behaviour change campaign with Haringey Council, helping to create cleaner, greener neighbourhoods while driving meaningful community engagement across the borough. This is a chance to make a visible impact, shaping resident behaviour through insight-led communications and stakeholder collaboration as Haringey prepares to celebrate its status as the 2027 London Borough of Culture.

Your job as Senior Campaigns Officer

• Lead the development and delivery of a major behaviour change campaign, encouraging residents, businesses and community groups to take pride in keeping Haringey's streets clean and green.
• Design and implement multi-channel communications campaigns, using audience insight, segmentation and evaluation to drive measurable outcomes.
• Work closely with internal services and external stakeholders to build strong partnerships and maximise campaign reach and participation.
• Apply recognised behaviour change frameworks, social media marketing strategies and Out of Home (OOH) communications to create engaging and effective campaigns.
• Play a key role in promoting community participation, environmental responsibility and civic pride within a dynamic local government environment.

What we're looking for

• Proven experience delivering successful behaviour change campaigns within local government or the wider public sector.
• Strong stakeholder management and communications skills with the ability to influence and engage diverse audiences.
• Experience using data, audience insight and evaluation to improve campaign performance.
• Knowledge of environmental services, including waste, recycling, street cleansing or parks.
• Experience working within a politically sensitive environment and managing multiple priorities effectively.
