Servbank is seeking a highly motivated and relationship-focused Business Development Officer to drive new business growth within the Commercial Banking segments. This individual will be responsible for identifying, prospecting, and developing new client relationships that generate deposits, loans, treasury management opportunities, and long-term banking partnerships.
The ideal candidate is an outgoing, self-motivated professional with strong networking and business development skills, a consultative sales approach, and a passion for building lasting client relationships. This role requires consistent outreach through phone calls, email campaigns, networking, referrals, and in-person meetings to establish Servbank as a trusted banking partner for businesses.

Key Responsibilities:
Business Development & Prospecting
- Develop and execute a strategic business development plan focused on acquiring new commercial banking relationships.
- Identify and cultivate relationships with business owners, executives, and key decision-makers across a variety of industries.
- Conduct proactive outreach through calling, email campaigns, networking events, referrals, and face-to-face meetings.
- Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline of prospective clients.
- Generate qualified opportunities for deposits, commercial loans, lines of credit, owner-occupied real estate financing, treasury management, and other banking solutions.
- Consistently meet activity goals related to prospecting, appointments, and business development efforts.
Relationship Management
- Establish trusted advisor relationships with business owners and key decision-makers.
- Conduct financial needs assessments and recommend appropriate banking products and services.
- Deliver an exceptional client experience through timely follow-up and proactive relationship management.
- Retain and expand client relationships by identifying opportunities to deepen banking relationships.
- Coordinate with internal partners to ensure clients receive a seamless banking experience.
Portfolio Growth
- Achieve annual goals related to:
- New client acquisition
- Deposit growth
- Commercial loan production
- Treasury management revenue
- Portfolio growth and profitability
- Develop and manage a portfolio of commercial clients.
- Maintain a strong understanding of client needs and market opportunities.
Community & Market Presence
- Represent Servbank within the local business community.
- Attend networking events, business organizations, industry associations, and community functions.
- Develop referral relationships with centers of influence and strategic business partners.
- Enhance Servbank's brand awareness and presence within the market.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in banking, business development, sales, relationship management, or commercial/business banking.
- Demonstrated success in prospecting, developing, and managing client relationships.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational, presentation, and follow-up abilities.
- Ability to work independently while managing a sales pipeline and achieving performance goals.
- Strong relationship-building and networking skills.
Preferred:
- Experience in Business Banking or Commercial Banking.
- Knowledge of commercial lending, treasury management, deposit products, and cash management services.
- Established network within the local business community.
- Experience working with business owners and privately held companies.
