Role summary:The Technician, Facility Services, HVAC, is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems and related building equipment to ensure optimal facility operations. This role involves interpreting technical documentation, configuring control systems, diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, and performing preventive maintenance. The position requires adherence to safety standards and effective communication with facility partners. The technician supports operational efficiency through accurate documentation, coordination of service calls, and participation in on-call rotations. Collaboration with management and team members is essential to meet business needs and uphold company policies and standards.

What you'll do:
- Install HVAC systems, ductwork, and control components following technical plans and regulatory standards.
- Configure and calibrate building automation and direct digital control systems to meet operational requirements.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and control issues affecting HVAC equipment and facility systems.
- Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs to ensure optimal system performance and reduce downtime.
- Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, parts usage, and work orders.
- Operate company vehicles safely to complete service calls within assigned regions.
- Communicate effectively with facility operators and management regarding service status and recommendations.
- Participate in on-call rotations to support operational needs outside regular hours.
What you'll bring:
- Proven experience installing and maintaining HVAC systems, ductwork, and control components.
- Ability to interpret technical schematics, layout plans, and documentation accurately.
- Skilled in configuring and calibrating building automation and direct digital control systems.
- Strong mechanical, electrical, and control troubleshooting capabilities.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices to enhance equipment reliability.
- Familiarity with OSHA standards and company safety protocols.
- Effective communication skills for coordinating with facility operators and team members.
- Competence in using digital tools for work orders, scheduling, and inventory tracking.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to operate company vehicles safely.

The hourly wage range for this position is $26.00 - $51.00* *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

Minimum Qualifications...
Outlined below are the required minimum qualifications for this position. If none are listed, there are no minimum qualifications.
Vocational or technical HVAC certification and 2 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related field for commercial HVAC and building controls.Option 1: 4 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance, electrical, plumbing, material handling- equipment, or related trades.
Option 2: 2 years’ store experience.
Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass motor vehicle report.
Valid EPA Section 608 Certification for the handling and servicing of refrigerants.• Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within the last five (5) years.
Commercial driving record with no more than two (2) moving violations in the last three (3) years.
No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
No serious traffic violations, as defined by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
