Shift Pattern: 24/7 - 2 shifts on, 2 days off, 3 shifts on, 2 days off, 2 shifts on, 3 days off, etc.. Shifts will rotate between Day shift, 6.45am to 7pm, and Night shifts 6.45pm to 7am.

Location/Division Specific Information:
Thermo Fisher’s Swindon facility specializes in integrated sterile liquid and lyophilized product development and commercial manufacturing, including high potency products and LVP. The Swindon facility offers extensive development and commercial capabilities for sterile dosage forms, including liquid vials, commercial fill finish lines, primary and secondary packaging vials.
Position Summary:
This role will provide support for the Quality Control team at Swindon site manufacturing facilities and support functions. You will assist the team by completing independent verification of the visual inspection of sterile products (note that this requires successful completion of company vision test), performing QC analysis of packaging materials and engineering components to support manufacture and release of pharmaceutical products and completing the associated documentation in accordance with cGMP and ALCOA+ principles.
Responsibilities:
Independent verification of visual inspection process
Pass company eyesight test
Completing documents in a GMP manner
Understand emergency procedures and follow safe systems of work.
Ensure compliance with environment, health and safety and security policies and procedures, rules, signage and instructions at all times
Ensure timely reporting and investigation of all accidents, near misses and breaches of rules.
Perform quality control analytical testing of incoming goods, packaging materials and engineering components to ensure compliance with QC Specifications.
Perform planned preventative maintenance and performance calibrations on equipment
Maintain own training records and support and train other team members as required
Participate in continuous improvement activities and look for further opportunities to progress the team/department
Communicate optimally with others on site and internationally, and to participate with them in problem solving activities
Ensure cGMP is applied in their area of work and align with cGMP in all areas of the business
Work with HSE, cGMP and 5S in mind at all times
Carry out any other tasks which may be required from time to time
Ensure compliance with environment, health and safety and security policies and procedures, rules, signage and instructions at all times
Requirements:
Education:
High School Diploma, Secondary Education, Advanced Certificate, or equivalent
What Experience / Qualifications are we looking for?
Experience working within a GMP environment, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry
Knowledge & understanding of cGMP
Ability to meet vision test requirement (with or without glasses)
Ability to differentiate between colours
Good understanding of Microsoft and Windows applications
Good organizational, time management skills and attention to detail
Ability to follow written instructions consistently
Experience working under tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy
Proficient in basic mathematics and literacy
Effective communication skills at all internal and external levels
