Overview
Administrative Support & Credentialing Specialist:
Keep our operations running smoothly while supporting provider credentialing and compliance. This role combines administrative excellence with healthcare credentialing responsibilities, making it ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to facility leadership and staff.
- Manage calendars, meetings, communications, and office operations.
- Prepare reports, presentations, spreadsheets, and correspondence.
- Maintain confidential records and databases.
- Coordinate provider credentialing, recredentialing, and payer enrollments.
- Verify credentials, track renewals, and maintain compliance documentation.
- Collaborate with payers, billing teams, and contracting departments to resolve credentialing and enrollment issues.
- Support special projects and other administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- BA/BS degree preferred.
- 1 to 3 years of healthcare-related experience required.
- 1 to 3 years of healthcare credentialing experience preferred.
- Basic knowledge of healthcare contracting concepts.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong documentation, organization, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Support managers and employees through a variety of tasks related to organization and communication.
- Responsible for confidential and time sensitive material.
- Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices and procedures.
- Effectively communicate via phone and email ensuring that all duties are completed accurately, delivered with high quality and in a timely manner.
- Attend meetings and take accurate minutes.
- May responsible for accurate and timely physician credentialing.
- May direct and lead the work of others.
- May manage and coordinate administrative programs and office activities.
- Create spreadsheets, manage databases and prepare presentations, reports and documents as needed.
- Answer telephones and take messages or transfer calls.
- May cover the reception desk when required.
- Calendar management, schedule appointments, update calendars and arrange staff meetings
OTHER FUNCTIONS:
- Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
· BA/BS degree preferred.
· 1 – 3 years of healthcare related experience required.
· 1 – 3 years healthcare credentialing experience preferred.
· Basic to working knowledge of contracting concepts.
· Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
· Documentation, proficiency, attention to detail, and organization skills are essential.
· Ability to multi-task is a must
