Position: Staff Product Manager
Job Location: 1375 Crossman Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94089
Duties: Drives the execution of multiple business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs; developing and communicating business plans and priorities; removing barriers and obstacles that impact performance; providing resources; identifying performance standards; measuring progress and adjusting performance, accordingly; developing contingency plans; and demonstrating adaptability and supporting continuous learning. Drive the product strategy and roadmap for key returns initiatives for Walmart Marketplace customers and third-party sellers that boost NPS. Build sustainable products for third-party sellers to support Walmart Marketplace growth and make it easier for them to process customer returns. Manage applicable system solutions for returns and ensure end to end ownership of solutions by working with relevant cross-functional groups. Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates by selecting and training; mentoring; assigning duties; building a team-based work environment; establishing performance expectations and conducting regular performance evaluations; providing recognition and rewards; coaching for success and improvement; and ensuring diversity awareness. Promotes and supports company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by training and providing direction to others in their use and application; ensuring compliance with them; and utilizing and supporting the Open Door Policy. Owns business and user acceptance testing for simple products/features. Independently represents technology requirements and drives technology design outcomes. Demonstrates an understanding of product architecture, services involved, and the database and cloud technologies used. Leverages knowledge of competitor products/services for assigned products. Drives informed discussions with engineering teams and stakeholders to assess feasibility and risks and prioritize efforts, features, and capabilities. Build and own a simple product roadmap with proper phasing. Communicates with cross-functional partners and stakeholders. Explores alternative avenues to identify resources while navigating through organizational constraints and dependencies. Builds stakeholder alignment. Independently (or with minimal guidance) manages backlog/priority tradeoff decisions and communications. Manages product/feature rollouts and scaling (using an MVP approach) and iteratively optimizes the product. Research and verify customer needs and expectations. Delivers customer value within the parameters of profitability and other targets. Builds and maintains consistent customer connections and solicits customer feedback. Creates customer journeys and identifies customer touchpoints. Addresses gaps/risks in product experiences. Simplifies and improves processes to drive customer satisfaction. This position does not supervise other employees.
Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering (Any), Design, or related area and 5 years of experience in product management; OR Master’s degree or the equivalent in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering (Any), Design, or related area and 4 years of experience in product management.
Skills required: Experience building user journeys and writing use cases for the customer. Experience performing detailed technical solutioning, designing workflows for backend and front end systems, and writing technical specifications. Experience writing test cases and acceptance criteria. Experience working with testing teams and engineering teams for end-to-end testing of the feature. Experience with project planning, building roadmaps, and feature prioritization. Experience with user experience design and creating low fidelity and high fidelity prototypes. Experience building product requirements along with business stakeholders and turning customer insights into actionable initiatives. Experience with data analysis by running SQL queries on Azure and analyzing complex data using Excel. Experience designing and enhancing supply chain operational workflows and system workflows. Experience with design thinking, problem solving, and stakeholder management. Experience with Sprint planning and Agile methodology. Experience with product analytics by running queries on Google Cloud Platform. Experience designing technical solutions used in e-commerce space and familiarity with system architecture, API’s and data science. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.
Salary Range: $179,421/year to $286,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.
