Description
A DAY IN THE LIFE
Administers the end to end purchasing cycle of equipment including executing purchase orders, scheduling and coordinating transport for these orders on/off the job site, executing lease agreements, expediting equipment and resolving quality and invoice issues. Ensures equipment lands at the lowest total cost consistent with considerations of quality, reliability of source, and urgency of need. Leverages category strategies and manages supplier performance. Responsible for the tactical purchasing activities of assigned commodities while establishing and maintaining excellent vendor/customer relationships.
STEP INTO THE ROLE
- Plans, generates, adjusts and expedites purchase orders based upon field requisitions, project insights, Bill of Equipment (BOE) and inventory strategies.
- Executes buy, lease, or rent based on Equipment Management Strategy.
- Schedules and coordinates transportation of equipment to appropriate locations.
- Responsible for all Fleet Documentation including licensing, if applicable, in relation to the assigned equipment classes.
- Maintains day to day communication with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery, system data integrity, and ordering parameters for individual materials. Communicates site access map to supplier along with all relevant transport and communication information.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, or related field required; or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
- At least 3-5 years of experience in purchasing, planning or related Supply Chain function required.
WHAT SETS YOU APART
- AEMP, APICS, or other certification strongly preferred.
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
