Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated, organized, and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our team in Richmond, Virginia.

This position is designed for an individual seeking the opportunity to support attorneys and legal professionals through effective case management, document preparation, client communication, scheduling, organization, and administrative support in a fast-paced legal environment.

The Legal Assistant will provide essential support throughout the lifecycle of legal matters by preparing and organizing legal documents, maintaining case files, coordinating deadlines, assisting with court filings, communicating with clients and professional contacts, and supporting the day-to-day operations of a busy law practice.

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience in a professional office environment.
• Reliable transportation to and from work and to off-site work locations.
• High level of computer literacy and the ability to effectively utilize Microsoft Office Suite, document management systems, digital communication platforms, and other office technology.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
• Ability to prepare, format, proofread, and manage documents with a high degree of accuracy.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound professional judgment.

Compensation & Benefits

The anticipated compensation range for this position is $40,000.00 to $50,000.00 per hour (approximately $20.51 to $25.64 annually, based on a 37.5-hour workweek).

Compensation within this range will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, demonstrated skills, relevant experience, and responsibilities assigned within the role.
