This role provides essential technical support for the construction, assembly, operation, and maintenance of experimental test benches and pilot units, with a primary focus on electrolysis platforms. The position centers on electrochemical platform execution, cell/stack preparation, electrolyte and feed-water management, and product gas monitoring. The primary goal is to ensure the electrolysis testing platform operates safely and continuously while delivering high-quality, reliable data for research and process optimization.

Accountability

• Platform Operation & Monitoring: Safely operate, startup and shut down electrolysis test benches, continuously monitoring key parameters to ensure steady-state performance.

• Cell Assembly & Material Handling: Assemble, mount, and disassemble cells/stacks, performing leak tests and physical integrity checks prior to operation.

• Chemical & Gas System Management: Manage electrolytes, deionized water, gas streams (hydrogen/oxygen), moisture separation, and chemical waste disposal.

• Maintenance & Calibration: Perform routine preventive maintenance and calibrate sensors, flow controllers, and detection systems.

• Safety & HSE Compliance: Adhere strictly to safety standards, ATEX guidelines, and hydrogen regulations, codes & standards while supporting risk assessments.

Qualification

• Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrochemical/Chemical Engineering, Chemical Machinery, Chemistry, Materials Science, or related technical field.

• Technical Skills:

  • Hands-on lab, pilot plant, or electrochemical testing experience.

  • Knowledge of electrolysis systems (PEM, Alkaline, AEM, SOEC) and electrochemical testing.

  • Ability to read P&IDs, fluid flow loops, and basic electrical schematics.

• Soft Skills:

  • Strong manual skills for cell assembly and leak-tight fittings, with mechanical/electrical aptitude.

  • Analytical mindset with high attention to process parameters and data integrity.

  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with R&D engineers, scientists, and safety personnel.

• Software: Proficient in MS Office and able to learn control system software.
