Job Description

Are you a senior electrical engineering specialist ready to shape the future of world-class LEGO manufacturing facilities across EMEA and beyond?

Bring your electrical engineering expertise to the LEGO Group and lead the design and delivery of large-scale construction projects across EMEA — while contributing to the Next Generation Factory programme that will define how LEGO builds for the future.

No relocation assistance is offered for this position.

Core Responsibilities

Electrical Leadership in EMEA Projects (50%)

  • Lead and drive the electrical design and implementation for major construction projects across EMEA on behalf of Engineering Design & Sustainability, ensuring alignment with global standards.

  • Act as the key electrical lead across all project phases, supporting MEPF integration and ensuring optimal technical solutions are adopted throughout.

  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to local and global project teams across new builds and retrofit projects.

  • Review and validate design documentation — including shop drawings, RFIs, and submittals — ensuring full compliance with project specifications and contract requirements.

  • Ensure quality and compliance on-site by verifying installations, materials, and workmanship against approved designs and engineering standards.

  • Identify and manage risks, non-conformances, and defects, ensuring timely resolution and proper documentation, including punch lists and NCRs.

  • Monitor and support third-party inspections, ensuring adherence to local regulations and applicable engineering standards.

  • Collaborate with suppliers, authorities, and internal stakeholders to secure efficient project execution and seamless system integration, including automation and material handling.

  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying and implementing new technologies and best practices within electrical engineering.

  • Actively share knowledge and contribute to the strengthening of global electrical standards and capabilities across the organization.

Next Generation Factory – Global Initiative (50%)

  • Act as a key contributor to the Next Generation Factory programme, representing the electrical discipline within a cross-functional global taskforce.

  • Participate in workshops and collaborate across streams to support the development of integrated, future-ready factory concepts.

  • Drive electrical input to enable key programme objectives, including optimized material and people flows, increased output per square metre, and improved return on investment.

  • Contribute to enhancing the flexibility, scalability, and modularity of factory electrical solutions.

  • Provide insights, analysis, and recommendations to support informed decision-making across streams and senior stakeholders.

Play Your Part in Our Team Succeeding

The Global Workplace Projects (GWP) organization plays a critical role in enabling the LEGO Group's future growth by delivering new production facilities and large-scale infrastructure projects around the world. The team works across regions and functions to ensure that the LEGO Group's manufacturing footprint continues to expand sustainably and efficiently, in full support of the company's long-term strategy.

Engineering Design & Sustainability (ED&S) is part of GWP and is responsible for the technical aspects of our projects, including supply concepts, MEPF disciplines, building management systems, and sustainable solutions. The team of approximately 30 engineers develops, maintains, and continuously innovates the LEGO Group's global standards, applying them to projects at all sites worldwide.

In this role, you will drive the electrical design principles at our construction sites across EMEA and contribute to the Next Generation Factory programme — directly supporting the LEGO Group's ambition to expand its presence and deliver exceptional products to more children around the world.
