Responsibilities

Promote, maintain, and improve health care delivery by assisting facility personnel to adopt improved performance. Collect and analyze data to identify healthcare delivery needs prior to planning, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating programs designed to encourage optimal healthcare delivery and policies. May also serve as a resource to assist individuals, other professionals, or the community, and may administer fiscal resources for health education programs.

 

Document activities and record information, such as the numbers of applications completed, presentations conducted, and persons assisted. Develop and present healthcare delivery improvement education and promotion programs, such as training workshops and presentations. Develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with agencies and hospital accreditation organizations. Prepare and distribute health education materials, including reports, bulletins, and visual aids such as films, videotapes, photographs, and posters. Develop operational plans and policies necessary to achieve optimal healthcare delivery objectives and services. Maintain databases, mailing lists, telephone networks, and other information to facilitate functions of the department. Supervise professional and technical staff in implementing healthcare education programs, objectives, and goals. Design and conduct evaluations and diagnostic studies to assess the quality and performance of health delivery programs. Provide program information to the patients and providers by preparing and presenting press releases, conducting media campaigns, or maintaining program-related web sites.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

 

1.             Minimum of an Associates degree in Nursing, Business or Health related field required.

2.             Bachelor’s degree in nursing, Health Administration, Business or related field preferred.

3.             Data base user interface and query software (e.g., Microsoft Excel or Access).

4.             Office suite software — Microsoft Office software including presentation software (Microsoft PowerPoint), word processing software (Microsoft Word).

5.             Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills.

Shasta Regional Medical Center offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package that provides employees the flexibility to tailor benefits according to their individual needs. A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $28.50 to $41.28. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
