Job Description
Position Summary
The Director, Internal Audit Analytics & Artificial Intelligence leads the Audit Analytics and AI function within Internal Audit, driving the adoption of data analytics, automation and emerging technologies to enhance audit quality, efficiency, and insight generation.
Reporting to the Audit and Analytics SVP, the Director partners closely with audit leaders and business stakeholders, both from Brookfield and Portfolio Companies, to integrate analytics and AI across the audit lifecycle, identify opportunities for innovation, and develop scalable solutions that strengthen the Internal Audit function. This role combines technical expertise with strong leadership, requiring excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Strategy
Lead the continued development and execution of the Internal Audit Analytics & AI strategy and roadmap.
Identify opportunities to expand analytics, automation, and AI across audit engagements.
Lead and develop a high-performing analytics team while fostering collaboration and innovation.
Establish priorities and best practices for analytics and AI within Internal Audit.
Audit Analytics & AI
Lead the integration of analytics throughout the audit lifecycle.
Oversee scalable analytics to identify risks, anomalies, and control weaknesses.
Drive the evaluation and implementation of AI, generative AI, process mining, and intelligent automation.
Promote responsible AI practices aligned with governance expectations.
Stakeholder Collaboration
Partner with audit leadership, Technology, Finance, Risk, and business stakeholders.
Present analytical findings and recommendations to senior management.
Translate technical concepts into clear business insights.
Technology Leadership
Provide technical direction for Power BI, Alteryx, SQL, Python and LLM tools (Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude), including prompt engineering, automation and agents.
Support scalable data architecture and visualization capabilities.
People Leadership
Mentor and develop analytics professionals.
Promote knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
Support capability development.
Qualifications & Experience
Education
Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Accounting or a related field.
Experience
10+ years of progressive experience in Audit Analytics and AI, Digital and AI Transformation.
Experience leading analytics initiatives and managing teams.
Experience presenting insights to senior management.
Leadership Competencies
