CODE ENFORCEMENT OFFICER
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
JOIN AN AWARD WINNING ORGANIZATION

This is an exciting time to join the organization. The City is actively building a new downtown area and planning to move into a new City Hall within the next few years, offering meaningful opportunities to support growth, modernization, and long-term infrastructure initiatives.
THE POSITIONThe Code Enforcement division is focused on enhancing public safety, quality of life, and positive relationships within the community. Our efforts are geared toward making Eastvale a wonderful place to live, work, play, connect, and prosper. The Code Enforcement Officer will serve as an ambassador and champion for the city and will be integral to reaching this goal through education and awareness, while taking enforcement action only when compliance is not achieved.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Adding value to the Code Enforcement Division by working collaboratively with City residents and businesses to ensure compliance with city ordinances and codes are met.
- Living out the City’s commitment to enhancing public safety, and quality of life for our residents through upholding Eastvale’s reputation of being innovative and dedicated to excellence in services
- A professional with excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills who can build and maintain successful working relationships with elected officials, partnering agencies, developers, community groups, and stakeholders.
An individual who thinks beyond transactional interactions and instead is focused on building relationships and educating our community into compliance rather than utilizing heavy-handed enforcement
A leader who promotes interdepartmental teamwork and collaboration with the skills and ability to balance, instruct, inform, inspire, and who truly wants to ‘do government better’
An organizational champion who demonstrates a proactive, customer focused attitude; and elevates organizational efficiency, effectiveness, and customer service to residents and businesses
