Purpose:
For Fall 2026, McCombs School of Business is seeking a motivated, detail oriented, and tech savvy student analyst to support the Career Insights & Analytics team within Career Management & Corporate Relations.
The Career Insights & Analytics team provides data, reporting, and technology support that drives strategic decision making and ensures accurate reporting of student outcomes.
The Student Analyst will gain hands-on experience in data quality management, business intelligence tools, and technology systems while contributing to real projects that impact students, employers, and leadership.
Responsibilities:
Perform quality assurance (QA) reviews on data for annual reporting and accreditation standards.
Document internal workflows and processes for knowledge management.
Support updates and reporting in Smartsheet and Tableau dashboards.
Assist with system maintenance tasks in 12twenty (Recruit McCombs), such as troubleshooting and updates.
Provide ad hoc project support related to data analysis, reporting, or process improvement.
Required Qualifications:
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Must be a University of Texas at Austin student, enrolled for at least 6 credit hours.
Work-Study award for the semester.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and comfort working with data.
Ability to follow processes accurately and document work clearly.
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with Smartsheet, Tableau, or other business intelligence tools.
Experience working with databases or data entry.
Strong problem solving and communication skills.
Interest in data management, reporting, or business analytics.
Hourly Rate:
$15.00
Working Conditions:
Work performed in standard office conditions.
Repetitive use of keyboard at a workstation.
Schedule Work Shift:
10-15 hours per week
Flexible work hours between Monday through Friday 8am-5pm, based on students' class schedule
Position ends on May 2027
