  • Drive application and optimization of DFM, DFA, DFT across product lifecycle.

  • Translate engineering requirements into robust, repeatable manufacturing and assembly processes.

  • Collaborate closely with design engineering, quality, supply chain, and operations to integrate products and accelerate build.

  • Develop and maintain clear manufacturing documentation (work instructions, inspection plans, process flows, tooling).

  • Evaluate/implement new manufacturing tech: composites, advanced machining, additive, metrology, materials, automation, etc.

  • Lead, support, and document root cause investigations and drive corrective action.

  • Ensure strict compliance to standards (AS9100, ISO 9001, NASA, UL, AWS, etc.).

  • Own or support process FMEAs, risk assessments, equipment validation, and product qualification.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction; advocate for Lean/DFx principles.

  • Mentor, coach, and support the technical development of engineers and technicians.

  • Represent Manufacturing Engineering in program, customer, supplier, and cross-functional reviews.

Team Focus & Domain Specialties:

Blue Origin’s integrated manufacturing teams enable the development, production, and lunar deployment of groundbreaking aerospace hardware. You will work within one or more core specialty domains:

  • Thermal & Fluid Systems| Lunar/spacecraft radiators, heat exchangers, active/passive thermal hardware. Cryogenic and fluid/propulsion systems, oxygen handling. Pressure vessel and tank integration, qualification, and test.
