We are seeking a client-focused and highly organized Senior Benefits Account Manager to join our Enterprise Group Solutions team. This full-time opportunity is ideal for an experienced group benefits professional who thrives on building strong client relationships, delivering exceptional service, and managing complex priorities with accuracy, professionalism, and care.
As the primary day-to-day contact for a portfolio of clients, the Senior Benefits Account Manager is responsible for delivering a responsive, high-touch service experience. Reporting to the Vice-President of Enterprise Group Solutions, this role acts as an extension of the client's HR team, leading service delivery, coordinating with carriers and vendors, supporting benchmarking, plan changes and implementations. The successful candidate combines exceptional client service skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving to ensure clients feel informed, supported, and genuinely cared for.
The Senior Account Manager will:
Client Relationship Management & Service Delivery
Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for an assigned portfolio of clients, delivering a consistent, high-touch service experience.
Build trusted relationships with clients, plan administrators, and key stakeholders by providing timely, responsive, and proactive support.
Maintain ownership of client service issues from initiation through resolution, ensuring accountability and a seamless client experience.
Escalate complex matters appropriately while retaining responsibility for communicating progress and outcomes to clients.
Benefits Administration & Client Support
Manage day-to-day service requests, including eligibility and coverage inquiries, claims issues, billing questions, enrolments, terminations, beneficiary updates, and general plan administration.
Coordinate directly with insurance carriers, third-party providers, and internal stakeholders to resolve service issues efficiently.
Support plan implementations, transitions, and onboarding activities to ensure a smooth client experience.
Assist clients with plan changes, annual enrolments, and employee communication initiatives.
Prepare benchmarking reports, develop benefit summaries, and provide support with meeting materials, presentations, and communication pieces for plan sponsors and employees.
Review contracts, benefit booklets, policies, and administrative documents to ensure accuracy and alignment with plan provisions.
Team Collaboration & Quality Assurance
Collaborate closely with consultants, analysts, carriers, and internal service teams to deliver exceptional client outcomes.
Contribute to service continuity by maintaining complete and accurate client records, documentation, and account notes.
Review client-facing deliverables to ensure accuracy, professionalism, and consistency.
Share knowledge and best practices with team members and support the development of junior colleagues.
Participate in internal projects and initiatives that enhance service delivery and client experience.
To be successful as a Senior Account Manager with People Corporation, you will need:
3 to 5 years of experience in group benefits and 10+ years experience in a client service role.
Strong working knowledge of group benefits products, carrier processes, and plan
Client-first mindset with a commitment to delivering exceptional service and building long-term relationships.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to independently manage issues through to resolution.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to manage competing priorities and multiple client deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

The base salary range for this position is between $75,000 - $85,000 annually.
This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc). The actual base salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
