The Business Development Leader is responsible for identifying and developing business opportunities, driving strategic marketing initiatives, and supporting revenue growth across global markets. This role serves as a subject matter expert, leading cross-functional initiatives, influencing business strategy, and providing analytical insights to support worldwide business development and operational success.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, evaluate, and drive new business opportunities while addressing business challenges within target markets.
- Develop and execute strategic plans focused on marketing growth and revenue expansion.
- Understand customer and organizational requirements to develop effective business proposals and solutions.
- Promote and expand the adoption of internal applications and processes across global divisions.
- Design and implement business processes, strategies, and operational frameworks.
- Define analytical methods, metrics, and techniques that support critical business functions and worldwide business development initiatives.
- Monitor competitive market dynamics and assess their impact on business performance.
- Develop business scenarios, forecasting models, and strategic recommendations to support decision-making.
- Lead complex cross-functional projects and influence stakeholders, including senior leadership and executive teams.
- Manage program direction and resource allocation, including workflow, budgets, intellectual property filings, and internal and external business reviews.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners to drive collaboration and business success.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Optics, Materials Science, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of engineering program management experience.
- Japanese language proficiency and familiarity with Japanese business culture.

- Recognized technical expert within a specialized field.
- Deep expertise within own discipline, with broad knowledge across related functional areas.
- Ability to apply technical and business knowledge to solve complex organizational challenges.

YesThe salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.
For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
