This team is responsible for ASX's reference data system and Markets announcement platform, a vendor platform with capabilities including build, test, release and maintain of systems and its customisation within the Markets Line of Business.
Your responsibilities:
You are a practitioner/team member of the Quality Engineering and Testing Capability Community of Practice (CoP).
Work closely with BAs, Developers, Support Analysts and Business Stakeholders to ensure understanding of the requirements and technical scope. Investigating the underlying causes of defects and verifying that resolutions fix the problem
Ensure traceability records exist from tests back to requirements.
Assist in test planning and specifying requirements for test environments, test data and tools.
Manage and own test automation framework and tools.
Identifying, diagnosing, and logging bugs or system anomalies using defect management tools.
Knowledge and experience working with Waterfall and/or Agile project methodology, as well as Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery processes.
Created and maintained automated test code and scripts, run automated tests and interpreted & reviewed results from automated test runs.
Maintaining thorough records of testing defects, assumptions, results, and signoffs for production releases.
Responsible for interpreting and executing complex test scripts, analysing results and maintaining a defect register.
Exposure to test automation tools developed internally and externally to executing tests and maintaining automated testing frameworks to improve efficiency, speed, and overall test coverage
Support and implement the ASX Software Testing Policy and Guidelines within the context of the assigned work and tools used.
Must have:
5+ years of experience in building automation framework/scripts and tools.
Worked in an environment with a structured development process, performing automated System and System Integration testing.
Proven experience in automation design based on in -depth technical and requirements analysis.
Had exposure to automation at the UI and the API level.
Worked as part of an agile, cross -functional team.
Had exposure to SQL query writing and have basic database skills.
Had exposure to XML, AVRO or other message parsing.
Experience with DevOps and Continuous Integration tools (GITLAB, Nexus, SonarQube)
Experience with Cucumber, Selenium, Playwright, Mockito or RestAssured .
Exposure to non -functional testing, such as performance and load testing.
Strong programming and scripting skills with JAVA, PowerShell or Python
Experience with testing micro -services and/or container -based architectures.
Knowledge of messaging protocols, such as SWIFT, JSON, XML or FIX.
Created or contributed to automated test frameworks.
Capital Markets industry experience such as understanding of Stocks and shares, derivatives markets, and the business processes related to clearing of member trades.
Lateral thinker – bring forward ideas that will automate repeatable tasks to reduce work effort and ensure quality deliverables
