THE ROLE
Director Quality
We are seeking a [Director Quality] to join our growing team. We are seeking a QC Manager, Hardlines to join our growing team. Quince is a US-based, hyper-growth tech retail start-up experiencing 100%+ YoY growth and serving millions of users each month. Backed by over USD 500 million in funding, we continue to scale rapidly. In this role, you will oversee factory audits, manage end-to-end inspections for hardgoods like Furniture and Lighting, and lead our quality engineering standards across a global supply chain to ensure every product meets our high benchmarks.
Responsibilities
- Oversee QC operations at the factories, including the inspections of raw materials, in-process / in-line production and finished goods.
- Provide guidance to manufacturing partners’ QC and production on in-line production quality control, assisting first production qualification, problem-solving and continuous improvement.
- Investigate and address quality-related issues, including customer complaints and non-conforming materials.
- Prepare and submit reports on quality control activities, including inspection results, audits, and non-conformance reports
- Ensure factories comply with company standards and good documentation practices by providing accurate records of inspections, test results, and other quality-related documentation.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in science or engineering or relevant field
- 5+ years of proven experience in quality control. Ideally in consumer goods or retail industries.
- Quality control experience in a manufacturing environment and/or field quality experience.
- Strong knowledge of quality control methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across different partners
- Demonstrated proficiency in root cause analysis as applied in a manufacturing environment.
