At HP Indigo R&D, we're looking for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer who wants to take ownership of complex mechanical systems, work on cutting-edge digital press technology, and spend their time creating innovative solutions. This role is ideal for engineers with strong mechanical design experience who are looking to expand into a new technical domain while taking on broad design ownership from concept to production and have a major products impact.

What you'll do

• Lead design complex mechanical assemblies from concept through production.

• Develop innovative mechanical solutions

• Take ownership of complete mechanical modules and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.

• Participate in architecture discussions, design reviews, and technical decision-making.

• Create detailed CAD models and production drawings.

• Work closely with manufacturing, system engineers, suppliers, and industrial designers to deliver robust products.

We're looking for someone who has

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering.

• 7+ years of mechanical design experience in multidisciplinary R&D environments.

• Strong hands-on experience with CAD

• Excellent understanding of manufacturing processes and Design for Manufacturing principles.

• Experience designing complex mechanical assemblies or products.

• Curiosity, technical creativity, and a passion for solving engineering challenges.

• A desire to learn a new technical domain and take broad ownership.
