Description
Responsible for assisting a team of underwriters with Excess & Surplus Lines (E&S) Casualty business on a brokerage basis via a nationwide network of wholesale brokers.
Responsibilities
- Assist and support underwriters with new and renewal business including rating, form selection, binding, policy issuance and invoicing
- Quality control of various documents including quotes, policies, endorsements, cancellations and invoices
- Handle a high-volume workload in a fast-paced environment, maintaining excellent service standards
- Deliver high quality service to wholesale broker customers
- Learn the underwriting process and appetite as well as help Underwriters prepare renewals
- In conjunction with underwriters, work closely with wholesale brokers to develop relationships
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Underwriting support in Excess and Surplus lines environment strongly preferred
- Demonstrated proficiency in sales and marketing
- High energy, desire to learn more through continued education.
- Must be able to effectively multi-task and after the training period work independently.
