Description
A major banking client is hiring a Senior Project Manager to lead strategic investment and transformation initiatives for its Corporate Card business.
This is not a client implementation or onboarding role. You will lead internally focused projects that change and improve the Corporate Card business itself: the technology, processes, operating model, product capabilities, and controls that enable it to operate and grow. The portfolio is a mix of new initiatives and existing projects already in flight.
You will report day to day to the Corporate Card portfolio delivery lead and partner closely with Product, Technology, Operations, Risk/Compliance, Finance, and Change Management. Start date is as soon as possible.
- Lead end-to-end delivery of complex Corporate Card investment and transformation projects, from planning through delivery
- Build and manage integrated plans covering scope, schedule, resources, financials, dependencies, risks, issues, and milestones
- Manage many concurrent projects and workstreams across a matrixed organization
- Coordinate delivery across Product, Technology, Operations, Risk/Compliance, Finance, and business teams
- Lead initiatives spanning technology modernization, product capabilities, process redesign, operating model changes, controls, automation, and organizational readiness
- Drive project governance, executive reporting, issue resolution, and timely decision-making
- Manage project budgets, forecasts, financial variances, and investment commitments
- Identify cross-functional dependencies and proactively manage delivery risks and mitigation plans
- Ensure business readiness and adoption of new capabilities, processes, and technology
- Strong experience leading complex business and technology investment projects
- Corporate or Commercial Card experience highly preferred, including knowledge of card programs and partners; Payments, Treasury Management, or Commercial Banking experience also considered
- Leader-level communication skills, with a track record of reporting to and influencing executive stakeholders
- Proven ability to manage multiple interconnected projects and workstreams at once
- Strong command of project planning, financial management, risk and issue management, and governance
- Experience across business, product, technology, operations, and control functions
- Excellent stakeholder management, facilitation, and problem-solving skills
- Technology modernization and business transformation experience strongly preferred
- PMP or comparable certification preferred
