Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Mobile Patrol Unit in Richmond, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed Security Officer supporting a government location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license and offers the opportunity to provide exceptional customer service and communication while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, caring, team-focused, and integrity-driven values.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of government buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry in accordance with site procedures; provide directions and assistance to visitors as needed.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities according to site requirements.
• Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation, and communicate observations to Allied Universal leadership and designated site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
