Requirements
- Diagnose and repair Class 8 heavy-duty diesel trucks
- Perform preventive maintenance (PM) services on rear loaders, front loaders, roll-off trucks, tractors, and box trucks
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
- Diagnose and repair equipment such as forklifts, skid steers, and wheel loaders
- Complete overhauls and rebuilds of retired trucks
- Perform welding and metal fabrication as needed (welding experience is preferred, but not required)
- Assist with general asset maintenance as necessary
- Occasionally respond to road calls for on-site repairs
- Accurately complete and review maintenance paperwork
- Ensure all work complies with DOT, OSHA, and company safety policies
- Willingness to learn and share knowledge
Qualifications:
- 2-5 years of truck repair experience
- Experience with Mack, Kenworth, and Peterbilt trucks
- Skilled in diagnosing and repairing engines, transmissions, electrical systems, and ABS systems
- Must have own tools (this is a must)
- A CDL Class B license is a plus
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Ability to troubleshoot and analyze component parts and systems on trucks and tractor-trailers
- Welding experience a plus
- Comfortable working in all weather conditions and in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift 50 lbs. or more
- Able to work under moderate supervision and follow through on tasks
- Strong mechanical aptitude
