Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and proactive DevOps Engineer to join our team in Heidelberg, Germany. In this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining scalable, secure, and automated CI/CD infrastructure, ensuring smooth software delivery and system reliability across our development and production environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines to support software development and deployment of workflows.

• Maintain and optimize cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).

• Automate infrastructure provisioning using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or similar.

• Monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure and application performance using observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog).

• Collaborate with software engineering teams to improve build, deployment, and release processes.

• Ensure system reliability, scalability, and security across development, staging, and production environments.

• Implement best practices for DevSecOps, backups, access control, and disaster recovery.

• Participate in on-call rotations and incident response.

Requirements:

Must-Have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in a DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure role.

• Proficiency with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).

• Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).

• Strong scripting and automation skills (e.g., Bash, Python).

• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Ansible, or similar).

• Experience with monitoring and logging tools.

• Fluent in English; German at B2 level or above is a strong advantage.

• Must be based in or willing to relocate to Heidelberg, Germany or in Germany (Remote)

Nice-to-Have:

• Knowledge of security best practices and DevSecOps.

• Experience with serverless architecture or hybrid/multi-cloud environments.

• Certification in AWS, Azure, or GCP is a plus.
