Description
Lead, coach, and develop the accounting team, setting clear expectations and driving strong engagement and execution. Own month-end and quarter-end close processes to ensure timely, accurate, and well-controlled financial reporting aligned with corporate and group requirements. Oversee general ledger integrity, including journal approvals, account reconciliations, fluctuation analysis, and compliance with IFRS, US GAAP, and local standards. Manage statutory reporting and external audits, coordinating with auditors to deliver statutory financial statements and resolve audit issues proactively. Drive compliance activities including VAT, withholding tax, and corporate income tax filings, partnering with the regional tax team and supporting transfer pricing documentation. Maintain fixed asset accounting processes, ensuring accurate capitalization, asset completeness, and alignment between local and group ledgers. Support cash management activities such as cash flow forecasting, bank reconciliations, and collaboration with Treasury on banking matters. Drive process improvement and automation initiatives, strengthening internal controls and partnering with FP&A/business stakeholders to provide insights and support key projects. Working knowledge of local tax and regulatory compliance (e.g., VAT, WHT, corporate income tax, statutory filings) and experience coordinating with tax teams/advisors. Proficient in ERP systems (preferably SAP) and advanced Excel skills; fluent in English (additional regional languages are a plus). Experience in the technology, semiconductor, or high‑growth environments where scalability and continuous improvement are critical.
