Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed - Entry Access in Orangeburg, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a healthcare location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, respond to concerns, and provide exceptional customer service and communication to patients, visitors, and staff. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate in a healthcare setting.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of hospital buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and unauthorized access.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with hospital personnel and emergency responders as needed.
• Monitor access points and help enforce visitor, employee, and contractor access procedures in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and actions taken, and maintain assigned equipment in accordance with Allied Universal and site policies.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
• Have at least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
