Luxury Hotel • Montauk • USD $150,000 - $165,000 per year
We are searching for a Director of Spa and Wellness for a premier luxury hotel in Montauk. Reporting to the General Manager, this is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing all spa and wellness operations, developing wellness initiatives, driving revenue, and delivering exceptional guest experiences. The ideal candidate brings a genuine passion for wellness, a strong background in luxury spa management, and proven leadership skills.
- Oversee the full daily operation of the spa, including all spa services, wellness programmes, and aquatic facilities
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance the guest experience, drive revenue, and grow the profitability of the spa and retail operations
- Lead, inspire, and develop a team of therapists, estheticians, retail attendants, and support staff to maintain high service standards
- Collaborate with the marketing team to promote spa services, wellness retreats, and special events
- Manage scheduling, training, and ongoing development of the spa and retail team
- Establish and maintain strong vendor relationships for spa products and treatment lines, negotiating favorable terms
- Analyze financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control, to meet business objectives
- Stay current with wellness, beauty, and spa trends, introducing new services and products where appropriate
- Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations across all spa areas
- Collaborate with engineering to address and resolve maintenance issues promptly within the spa
- Minimum 5 years of spa and wellness management experience, including at least 2 years in a senior leadership role within a luxury setting
- Strong understanding of spa services, wellness trends, and retail management, including merchandising and inventory
- Proven financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and revenue management
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Knowledge of spa facilities including pool, fitness, thermal, and aquatic environments
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
- Flexible availability including weekends, holidays, and evenings as required
