THE OPPORTUNITY
We have an immediate opening for a Human Resources Generalist working from our Lynbrook, NY Office. This position will report directly to the Principal and will serve as the first point of contact for all HR related inquiries while providing HR support for employees and management.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
This is your opportunity to be the go-to resource for all things HR in a role where your expertise will directly shape the employee experience. From employee relations to benefits, onboarding, and compliance - you'll wear many hats and be a trusted partner to both employees and management.
Responsibilities include:
- Employee Relations & Investigations: Serve as an internal consultant and mediator, handle employee relations matters, manage disciplinary actions, and conduct workplace investigations.
- Recruitment & Hiring: Support end-to-end hiring including job postings, interview coordination, pre/post-hire tasks, and applicant tracking.
- Onboarding & Benefits:Facilitate new employee orientation and guide staff through benefits options, including health, welfare, and retirement plans.
- HR Operations:Maintain personnel records, support payroll and timekeeping accuracy, and ensure compliance with HR policies and labor regulations.
- Training & Development:Administer and support company training programs.
- Reporting & HR Systems: Manage headcount tracking, HRIS data entry, and provide regular reporting and analysis.
- Exit Process: Manage offboarding, including exit interviews and final documentation.
REQUIREMENTS
- Experience: 2–3 years of generalist HR experience (construction or union experience a plus)
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Business preferred
- Skills:
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Solid understanding of HR practices, laws, and compliance
- Strong organizational, analytical, and interpersonal communication skills
- Bonus: Familiarity with HRIS platforms and time/attendance systems
