Job Summary
Business Planning Manager will be responsible for driving the development/implementation of robust processes/systems to track/monitor the strategic business plans and initiatives within the organization. The role provides valuable analysis and advice to management across various domains and manages cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operations and effective business planning. The role formulates highly complex analytic models for reporting, defines KPIs and metrics to measure business performance.
Responsibilities
• Supports the CO organization with data-driven intelligence and demand planning, supporting HP’s forecasting and business-planning processes. The position integrates shipment history, forecasts, true orders, and market-demand data into structured datasets covering products, geographies, businesses, and time periods.
• Leads data-quality and product-intelligence activities, including reconciling disconnected information across supply, forecast, and product-hierarchy sources. Responsibilities include building cross-reference mappings, investigating data mismatches, and validating pivot tables, forecast links, totals, and reporting outputs as well as supporting ad hock analysis for management and planners.
• Translates complex analysis into practical business tools, including forecast workbooks, market-division analyses, charts, dashboards, and repeatable ETL processes. Success requires a combination of business analysis, supply-and-demand forecasting, data engineering, documentation, and communication skills, with the ability to make large, complex datasets reliable, traceable, and useful for planning decisions.
• Establishes/Tracks the metrics required to measure business performance, and develops the process for identifying and addressing performance gaps.
• Manages complex, time-sensitive market research projects and prepares synthesized intelligence reports with clear implications.
• Identifies cutting-edge analytical tools, models, and methods for making key business decisions.
• Demonstrates a high level of business acumen and technical expertise in areas such as business planning, operational management, and financial analysis.
Education & Experience Recommended
• Four-year or Graduate Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
• Typically has 7-10 years of work experience, preferably in strategy, planning, operations, market research, or a related field.
