Your role and responsibilities

Are you a finance professional with a passion for driving project success? We are looking for an exceptional individual to join our innovative, dynamic and talented finance team. In this pivotal role, you will be a trusted business partner to the Marketing & Sales Finance Organization, steering activities across multiple finance projects

In this role, you will have the opportunity to provide reliable and timely analysis of financial results, budget, and forecasts. Each day, you will support the ABB group management and other stakeholders at various organization levels in decision making processes. You will also showcase your expertise by supporting in the evaluation of the impact of strategic, financial, or other major investment decisions.

The work model for the role is: onsite

This role is contributing to the ELSB, ELSP Marketing & Sales Finance Organization across all geographies in ABB.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Performs the analysis of the group’s financial results in their area of responsibility and coordinates the preparation of various management reports, including management performance reports, commentaries on financial statements, etc., on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
• Supports in the evaluation of the impact of strategic, financial, or other major investment decisions.
• Drives and facilitates financial planning processes and activities (e.g. financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting). Close collaboration with Global Business Lines and countries to support effective business decision making by monitoring, analyzing and interpreting financial results to evaluate business alternatives
• Supports in the implementation of standardized processes and tools to support the financial planning activities in their area of responsibility.
• Lead spending analysis across global marketing and sales organizations, including controlling responsibilities for various global functions under Marketing and Sales organization
• Works with the reporting units and countries to follow-up on the inconsistencies noted on management reporting information.
• Contributes to the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) initiatives for Marketing & Sales Finance
• Leads process improvement and cost saving initiatives to protect and increase the divisions' profitability.
• Supports in the initiatives to achieve excellence in financial controlling and the improvement of controlling processes and tools.
• Facilitates sharing of knowledge and best practices within the Finance community.

Qualifications for the role

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of accounting, financial analysis, and performance management.
• At least 8 years of working experience in Accounting, Finance or relevant areasBachelor/master’s degree in finance, or related fields
• High attention to details, strong analytical mindset.  
• Continuous improvement mindset with focus on process optimization and standardization.  
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
