Senior Site Reliability Engineer

A leading organization is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to strengthen the reliability, observability, and operational maturity of production systems and cloud infrastructure.

The Senior Site Reliability Engineer will focus on Grafana-based observability, service-level objectives, infrastructure automation, incident management, and resilience engineering. The position requires hands-on experience with cloud platforms, preferably GCP, along with Python, infrastructure as code, CI/CD, Kubernetes, and modern telemetry practices.

Responsibilities

• Design and improve Grafana dashboards, monitoring, observability, and alerting capabilities.
• Establish consistent observability and production reliability practices across engineering teams.
• Define and operationalize SLAs, SLOs, SLIs, and service performance metrics.
• Improve production availability, system resilience, and overall operational performance.
• Develop infrastructure automation and infrastructure-as-code solutions using Terraform, Ansible, or similar technologies.
• Integrate reliability and operational practices into CI/CD and DevSecOps workflows.
• Support incident management, root cause analysis, capacity planning, and resilience engineering.
• Develop automation and operational tooling using Python.
• Support containerized workloads and orchestration environments using Kubernetes.
• Work with data engineering pipelines and orchestration technologies such as Airflow and Beam.
• Implement and enhance logging, distributed tracing, alerting, and end-to-end telemetry.
• Explore and support AIOps and AI-enabled SRE capabilities, including anomaly detection, intelligent alerting, incident summarization, and remediation assistance.

Required experience and skills

• 5+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, Production Engineering, Cloud Engineering, or Infrastructure Engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with Grafana for observability, monitoring, dashboards, and alerting.
• Strong background in production operations, system reliability, and availability engineering.
• Experience improving observability maturity and operational standards across multiple teams.
• Proven experience establishing and managing SLAs, SLOs, SLIs, and service performance metrics.
• Hands-on cloud experience, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Experience with infrastructure as code and automation technologies such as Terraform or Ansible.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices.
• Strong knowledge of incident management, root cause analysis, capacity planning, and resilience engineering.
• Experience developing automation or operational solutions with Python.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
• Familiarity with data engineering pipelines using Airflow and Beam.
• Experience with log aggregation, tracing, and end-to-end telemetry ecosystems.
• Exposure to AIOps or AI-assisted SRE practices, including intelligent alerting, anomaly detection, incident summarization, or remediation assistance.
