Description
Description
WHO WE ARE:
Boochcraft is an innovative leader in the Hard Kombucha category, focused on creating high-quality products while continuing to evolve and scale our operations.
We are looking for a highly organized, hands-on Marketing Manager to join our team on a temporary basis to provide additional marketing execution and support during a leave of absence This role is expected to begin in mid to late November 2026 to allow for a comprehensive transition period and will continue through June 30, 2027.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
The Marketing Manager will play a key role in keeping day-to-day marketing initiatives moving across Boochcraft, Mood, Local Roots, and The Boochyard. Working closely with the Director of Marketing during the transition period, this person will become deeply familiar with established 2027 strategies, plans, and priorities before helping drive execution throughout the leave period.
This is an execution-focused role for someone who can quickly understand the bigger picture, manage multiple brands and priorities, and confidently take ownership of projects from brief through completion. You will work cross-functionally with Marketing, Sales, Operations, Product/R&D and external partners to ensure campaigns, product launches, creative projects and other key marketing initiatives are delivered on time and at a high standard.
The ideal candidate is both a strong marketer and project manager: someone who can manage timelines and stakeholders while also bringing strong brand and creative judgment to the work. You should be comfortable stepping into an established marketing organization, identifying what needs to happen next and proactively moving projects forward without significant day-to-day oversight.
This is a defined-term position. Candidates should be available and committed to the full assignment through June 30, 2027.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage day-to-day execution of integrated marketing initiatives across Boochcraft, Mood, Local Roots, and The Boochyard.
- Drive established marketing plans and priorities forward, ensuring campaigns, launches and key initiatives remain on strategy, on time and within budget.
- Own marketing project management, including timelines, deliverables, status updates, next steps, and cross-functional follow-up.
- Assist with creative workflows from brief through final delivery, coordinating feedback and approvals across internal teams, agencies, freelancers and creative partners.
- Partner closely with Sales to execute retail marketing programs, customer initiatives, sales materials, point-of-sale needs and other tools that support distribution and velocity.
- Support product launches and seasonal campaigns across retail, digital, social, email/SMS, paid media, experiential and other relevant channels.
- Manage relationships and day-to-day communication with external agencies, freelancers, photographers, creators, and other marketing partners.
- Work closely with the Social and Content Specialists and other marketing team members to ensure channel execution supports broader brand and campaign priorities.
- Monitor campaign and marketing performance, maintain established reporting and dashboards, and identify actionable opportunities to optimize performance.
- Track marketing spend against established budgets and proactively flag potential risks, changes or opportunities.
- Lead recurring marketing meetings and project check-ins, ensuring clear ownership, accountability and communication across priorities.
- Manage and prioritize incoming marketing and sales support requests against existing priorities, timelines, and team capacity.
- Maintain clear differentiation between Boochcraft, Mood, and Local Roots while ensuring execution remains consistent with each brand’s established strategy, positioning and tone of voice.
Requirements
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
- Education: 4-year degree preferred (Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or a relevant discipline)
- Experience: 5+ years of related marketing experience, ideally within CPG, beverage, food, lifestyle or another fast-moving consumer brand
- Specialized Skills: Proficiency in email marketing platforms (Klaviyo), Shopify, and project management tools (Asana). Experience with integrated campaign execution, creative briefing, copywriting, and content development. Strong understanding of digital marketing, social media, and paid media. Excellent organizational, communication, and creative judgment skills.
- Key Functions: Campaign Execution, Email & SMS Marketing, Copywriting, Creative Briefing & Management, Project Management, Performance Marketing and Reporting, Product Launches, Agency Management, and Budget Tracking.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
This job description is not intended to be all inclusive. The Marketing Manager will also perform other reasonably related duties as assigned.
COMPENSATION RANGE: $75,000 - $85,000 annualized base salary paid for weekly hours worked. Salary is based on experience. Eligible for an assignment completion bonus upon successful completion of the full contract term.
Candidate is preferably located in San Diego, CA or comfortable commuting to San Diego, CA as needed for in-person meetings and able to commit to the full temporary assignment through June 30, 2027.
