About the role
We are looking for a highly skilled & motivated Lead Specialist to join our Global Procurement Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Gurugram. This position offers an exciting opportunity for the selected candidate to lead and manage end to end contracting process independently and bring value to the organization across different category. The Lead Specialist will also drive continuous improvements as well as help streamlining the ways of working across the global centres, while collaborating with global stakeholders in a dynamic, data-driven environment.
This role needs to be detail-oriented and proactive to oversee and ensure adherence to procurement policies, contractual documents and business metrics within our Fuel & Retail operations. The ideal candidate shall have a strong background in contracting & procurement processes, excellence frameworks, and risk management, ensuring that all purchasing activities align with company standards and industry regulations.
Roles & Responsibilities
Support Global CLM Team and Categories for contract drafting, review / redlining and new template creation:
- Collaborate with legal, procurement, sales, and other departments to draft, review, and finalize contracts.
- Ensure that contracts are aligned with company policies, industry standards, and legal requirements.
- Develop and maintain contract templates for efficiency and consistency.
Contract Management, Training and Support:
- Manage and support ongoing contract life cycle to ensure user compliance with terms and conditions.
- Manage contractual obligations and proactively track them in the CLM system.
Contract Renewals and Amendments:
- Manage the contract renewal process by evaluating performance and determining the need for amendments or modifications.
- Initiate renegotiations and amendments to contracts as necessary to meet evolving business requirements.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with procurement (GNFR and GFR), finance, legal, and other departments to ensure contracts support.
- Provide training and guidance to team members on contract management with the best practices.
Operational Excellence:
- Excellent language skills.
- Conduct specialist training and support for selected end users.
- Support transformation projects to improve contract compliance.
- Utilizing software systems to manage Contract Management to excellence and establishing a seamless process.
- Partner with the CoE management team to cluster with Global procurement strategies entering procurement excellence and driving continuous improvement.
Job Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in law.
- Preferred certification in contract management.
Experience
- Total Experience: 10+ years.
- Hand-on experience of CLM tools at org level.
- Managed end to end contract lifecycle.
- 3+ years as Contract team lead within Procurement/Finance Operations.
- Capable of Contract template creation.

Knowledge
- Contract Lifecycle Management tools (CLM), Icertis, Sirion, DocuSign.
- SAP, Ariba, ServiceNow, Coupa, etc.
- Microsoft Office applications (MS Excel, etc.)Understanding of APIs, RPA, AI-enabled controls and workflow automation.
- Ability to translate business policy into system rules and automated controls.
- Strong understanding of data quality, reporting and reconciliation
